Dr. Sky Lo Tian Tian

Assistant Professor, PolyU SD

Dr. Sky Lo Tian Tian, a Hong Kong-born Singaporean, is an Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Design. His research focuses on "Spatial Phygital Interaction," blending virtual and physical environments through innovative design concepts. With a background in XR, BIM, and gamification, Dr. Sky aims to create interactive spaces that bridge the gap between urban and rural settings. As a prolific researcher and workshop organizer, he is dedicated to advancing transdisciplinary approaches to interactive design and is actively seeking PhD candidates with expertise in VR/AR/MR/XR technologies to join his visionary projects.

Dr. Sky Lo will discuss the creative process in depth in the project "Digital Archives: Immersive Hong Kong Poetry", one of the exhibitions at the 2024 PolyU Design Exhibition. creativity. Dr. Joseph Lau

Dr. Joseph Lau is a dedicated academic with a background in transportation and logistics and holds a PhD in Education from the University of Bristol. Dr. Liu's numerous publications and successful research grants demonstrate his unwavering dedication to education and research. He has extensive experience in the transport industry and academia. He now teaches students logistics and management courses, with a recent focus on enhancing funeral industry logistics and promoting community life and death education.

Dr. Joseph Lau will mainly talk about how to prepare yourself to face death and grief, how to arrange your humorous things and explore Hong Kong’s funeral culture.

Ar. Simon Hui

Ar. Simon Hui is an experienced senior project manager with a diversified portfolio in multiple cities around the world. With a strong background in architecture and project management, he has led design projects for iconic landmarks and has published numerous articles and books on the subject. As an educator, Ar. Simon has trained more than 1,000 certified project managers and has actively contributed to the architectural community through leadership roles and organizing exhibitions and tours. For design, building inspections, training, tours, workshops, or writing opportunities.

In Simon's book of Arch. Touch I, he wrote about the Murray House, on its Revitalization of old buildings in Heritage and Religion. He will give us a guided tour to learn more about the Murray House through a thought-provoking exploration of the city's rich tapestry of experiences, offering unique insights and valuable perspectives.
